I picked up a problem with ((what I think is) Patella tendonitis late last year. It hasn't impacted my running too much but has been problematic on the bike. The link below is a pretty good explanation.

After either a long ride (50+ miles) or a run to bike brick I've been getting a sharp shooting pain below the knee cap when cycling.
So far I've
- Moved my seat back and down 1cm.
- Started streatching my ITB, hamstrings and quads daily.
- Introduced daily single leg squats to my training to strenghten my glutes.
I'm having good days and bad days but its still there after 4 weeks of exercises so am off to see a physio for a full assesment.
As with most triathletes I'm my own worst enemy at not resting though..... I'll let you know how I get on.
